Does the Geely Starray EM-i Come With Floor Mats?

The Geely Starray EM-i is a seriously well-equipped car for the price — but floor mats aren't part of the deal. Like many newer vehicles hitting the Australian market, the Starray EM-i is delivered without floor mats as a standard inclusion. Here's what you need to know before your pickup day.

What Does the Starray EM-i Come With?

Both the Complete ($37,490) and Inspire ($39,990) variants are packed with tech — a 15.4-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, heated front seats, surround-view camera, and a five-star ANCAP safety rating. It's a strong package at the price point.

What's missing from that list? Floor mats. Geely Australia's official spec sheet doesn't include them, and most buyers only find this out when they climb in on delivery day.

Why Don't New Cars Always Include Floor Mats?

It's become increasingly common for car manufacturers — especially newer brands entering Australia — to leave floor mats out of the standard fitment. Some dealers will throw in a set as part of a delivery deal, but it's not guaranteed. If you didn't negotiate floor mats into your purchase, chances are your footwells are bare.

Start with the driver's mat. Align it to the footwell shape and locate the anchor clip eyelet — press it down onto the factory floor stud to lock it in place. This is the most important step; a mat that can slide forward toward the pedals is a safety risk.

The passenger and rear mats drop straight in. Align the edges to the footwell walls and press flat. That's it.

What About the Boot?

The Starray EM-i boot isn't included in a standard floor mat set, but a boot liner is worth adding at the same time. If you've got kids, pets, groceries, or a pram going in and out regularly, the factory boot carpet won't hold up long-term. A fitted boot liner protects it from day one.
